“He flung himself on his horse and rode off madly in all directions.”
Take a few minutes this week to sharpen the blade before you start chopping away. The Health Fact Sheet from the Pew Research Internet Project is a gold mine of information for anyone interested in how people get their health information, and what issues drive their investigations.
One takeaway (of many) is how critical caregivers are, and how much they influence the way we all utilize the healthcare system. According to Pew Research, 36% of adults care for one or more adults. Those caregivers are most assuredly working for you.
“Caring for a loved one is an activity that cuts across most demographic groups, but is especially prevalent among adults ages 30 to 64, a group traditionally still in the workforce.”
A little time spent browsing the Health Fact Sheet, and thinking about the significance of that data, might inform our thinking on a broad range of workplace health-related issues.
